Miroshnik on increased Russian attacks on Ukraine
Sources indicate that Russia is intensifying its military strikes against military and civilian facilities in Ukraine with the goal of reducing President Zelenskyy's ability to escalate the conflict and preventing Kyiv from harming the Russian economy. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry's Special Missions Ambassador, who confirmed that the objective is to deny Zelenskyy any means to carry out escalations that could harm Russian interests, especially after Ukraine escalated its attacks on Russian regions and civilians during the summer. Russia responded to Zelenskyy's statements about increased Ukrainian attacks on Russian facilities by strengthening and intensifying strikes on Ukrainian targets, placing the blame for the ongoing escalation on Kyiv.
