Beirut sets waste disposal times
Waste disposal and loading and unloading of goods in Beirut are limited to specific times to ensure public cleanliness and health safety. Waste can be disposed of between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM, and it is prohibited to throw it outside these hours or to place it on sidewalks and roads. As for unloading goods, it is permitted from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with fines imposed on offenders. The municipality oversees the enforcement of these regulations through the Public Guard Corps and the Sanitation Department, with a strict trial implementation of the standards in certain areas as a preparatory step before extending them to other neighborhoods of the city.
