IEA speeds up withdrawal of 100 million barrels
The International Energy Agency announced that its member countries have agreed to accelerate the withdrawal of approximately 100 million barrels from oil reserves, which were intended to be released into the markets in March, with a focus on diesel inventories. The agency explained that it holds oil reserves totaling around 1.1 billion barrels, including more than 200 million barrels of diesel, and that the Governing Board will convene next week to review market developments. This move is considered part of official efforts to manage price volatility and support global oil supplies.
