Trump seeks Nobel Peace Prize
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he believes he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize and has been praised by some politicians and rivals. However, he acknowledges doubts about his chances of winning it before the announcement of the 2026 laureate. Trump justifies his nomination by citing his diplomatic efforts and reconciliations, claiming that his efforts during his presidency have contributed to ending international conflicts, despite ongoing criticism and challenges—including renewed clashes and armed conflicts, as well as his failure thus far to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. This is accompanied by the inclusion of other potential candidates for the award, such as Pope Leo and the International Peace Council, while doubts about the credibility of these nominations remain.
