Venezuelan opposition urges July vote
Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado emphasized the necessity of holding a presidential election in the country by next July, pointing out that the available time for preparation is sufficient to achieve this. She stated that greater transparency is needed in managing the revenues from Venezuelan oil sales, which are controlled by Washington, considering that transitioning to a stable democracy is the only way to ensure the sustainability of the political process. In a separate context, reports confirmed that the U.S. government and the Venezuelan people agree on the need to transform the country into a stable democratic system.
