Oshakov: Russia to decide on Ukraine talks
Russian President's Assistant Yuri Ushakov announced that Moscow will consider when negotiations for the Ukrainian settlement can be resumed, following a phone call between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. He confirmed that Putin explained to his American counterpart the Russian measures in response to Kyiv's attacks, and that Russian forces are in control of the initiative, advancing confidently, while rejecting Ukraine's attempts to halt progress through deep strikes. The call lasted an hour and a half and focused on strengthening Moscow's positions and the possibility of resuming dialogue, while Trump congratulated Putin on his birthday.
