Landslide quickly destroys village
Nepal has experienced widespread floods that have swept away homes and resulted in the deaths of over 1,400 people, with more than 5,000 others missing due to a landslide caused by heavy rains. In response, rescue operations were carried out, including the evacuation of six individuals from landslide danger and the protection of 18 workers from a hydropower project. Additionally, the floods washed away a highway bridge and prompted evacuation measures and warnings for residents along riverbanks in several areas, amid expectations that the situation may continue or worsen due to ongoing monsoon rains and floods.
