Lebanese Forces Call for Judicial Referral
The regular meeting of the Political Office of the Lebanese Brigades discussed Hezbollah's responsibility for a shipment of weapons and explosives that was seized. A party deputy acknowledged that the items belong to the party, which directly holds Hezbollah accountable and places the state in front of the necessity to treat this matter as both an security issue and one that threatens civil peace. The statement emphasized the need to refer the case to the Court of Cassation to determine responsibility and called on the government to activate measures to dismantle Hezbollah's security and military apparatus and to disarm the group. It also underscored the importance of economic and administrative reforms to prevent the Lebanese people from bearing the burden of the crisis, warning against exploiting social tension to undermine sovereignty. The statement reaffirmed that protecting stability requires enforcing the law and restoring sovereignty, not retreating from it.
