Military talks in Tampa and French ministers in Lebanon
Hope for progress in the military and security file between Lebanon and Israel has diminished despite the resumption of negotiations in Tampa from October 20 to 22. Meanwhile, American pressure on Lebanon to tighten measures against Hezbollah is escalating. France is planning to send a technical delegation to Lebanon to discuss mechanisms for international presence after the UNIFIL mission ends, aiming to support the Lebanese security establishment and maintain stability, with a focus on the potential deployment of an alternative international force in the region. Conversely, field tensions continue, with ongoing shelling in the south and Israel intensifying its strikes.
