French city bans Saturday protests
The authorities of Lyon, France's third-largest city, announced a ban on all demonstrations on Saturday, October 24, following widespread violence and destruction during previous protests in mid-October. This measure is part of a response to the violent incidents that occurred last week, which led to widespread looting and vandalism during protests across France. The ban comes amid rising tensions and protests in various parts of the country, with widespread demonstrations expected to take place across France on that day.
