Matt Damon Shares Behind-the-Scenes Details of His Casting in Nolan's New Film
During his appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," American star Matt Damon revealed the behind-the-scenes story of how he joined the film "The Odyssey," directed by Christopher Nolan. He confirmed that Nolan offered him the role after several Hollywood stars, such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale, declined. Damon amusingly recounted that Nolan attributed his decision to feedback he received repeatedly about the screenplay from Netflix, which sparked a burst of laughter from the audience. "The Odyssey" is Nolan's latest project, based on Homer's epic poem, starring some of Hollywood's top actors, and is currently highly anticipated.
