The management of the local prison "Al Arouj 1" issued a clarifying statement in response to the claims made by the family of inmate Mohamed Zian, who alleged that he had not received his financial allowances, that his furlough period was shortened, and that his health had been affected. The statement clarified that Zian committed a violation by using an unauthorized phone on June 11, 2026, which resulted in him being prohibited from making purchases from the prison store for 30 days, with the exception of hygiene products. The statement also denied reports that the administration refused to accept money from his family, confirming that he has a financial balance of 340 dirhams, and that he is eating regular meals in accordance with medical instructions.
