North observes Mata Festival
The Al Hoceima region celebrated the "Mata" International Equestrian Festival, which lasted for three days in Zounid Village. The festival was marked by a large participation from local horsemen and equestrian teams from both the region and beyond. It featured traditional performances, competitions on the "Mata Doll" (Almounika), which is considered a symbol of ancient traditions, as well as economic and cultural discussions with the participation of ministers and researchers focusing on development and openness towards Africa. The event aims to preserve mountain heritage, develop the area, and promote cultural and economic exchange, with official and royal support.
