Liberia Committee Sees No Need to Discuss Sahara
Liberia has renewed its support for the UN-led process to resolve the Western Sahara conflict, endorsing the autonomy proposal under Moroccan sovereignty as a viable political solution. It emphasized that this proposal is the way to end the political deadlock on the issue and to promote stability and development in the region. Liberia called on all parties to engage constructively in the negotiation process under the auspices of the United Nations. Additionally, Liberia expressed concern about the humanitarian situation in the area, especially in the Tindouf camps, and called for transparency and accountability.
