Ahmed Mohtam: Musician for the Homeland
Ahmed Muhtam, popularly known as "Mahouja," is a Moroccan sound engineer and artist from the Southern Provinces who blends production, distribution, and artistic performance. His latest work, the song "Carnival," created in collaboration with Ayoub Qadir, was released on the occasion of National Unity Day and expresses joy, peace, and love, with a focus on Moroccan identity and Saharan culture. Mahouja is currently preparing to release his third album, "Colors," in late 2026. His goal is to broaden the musical spectrum by fusing tradition with modernity, believing that music is a means of conveying identity, not merely noise-making.
