Food prices rise while others decline

The producer price index for the manufacturing sector, excluding petroleum refining, increased by 0.3% in April 2026 compared to March. This was due to rises in food industry prices (0.7%) and chemical industry prices (0.4%). Conversely, the clothing and mining sectors saw decreases of 0.8% and 0.3%, respectively, while prices in the extraction, electricity, and water sectors remained stable.
