Qatar and China strengthen ties

The Chinese Ambassador to Qatar, Tsao Xiaolin, affirmed that cooperation between the two countries is continuously strengthening. China has maintained its status as a key trading partner for Qatar for six consecutive years, with trade volume increasing from $10.6 billion in 2014 to $23.8 billion in 2025, almost a 125% increase. Chinese companies are also actively involved in investment and social economic development in Qatar, with particular focus on technology and the automotive sector. The number of Chinese visitors to Qatar in 2025 reached approximately 132,000, reflecting a 28% growth. The ambassador expressed China's aspiration to enhance its partnership with Qatar in strategic areas, including investment and artificial intelligence, as well as supporting global peace and stability.
