Qatar Researcher Award
The Qatar Foundation for Social Work has announced the launch of the first edition of the Social Researcher Award, with support from the Daa’m Fund. The award aims to encourage applied research that improves social services and focuses on family cohesion. Applications will be accepted from 1 to 15 November 2026 in three categories: schools; universities and academics; and social-sector workers. Applicants must be Qatari citizens or residents of Qatar. The first stage will select 30 proposals for further development, followed by the selection of 15 research projects to present in the final round. Nine winners will then be chosen, with three winners in each category. In the schools category, the prizes for first, second and third place are QAR 20,000, QAR 15,000 and QAR 10,000, respectively. In each of the other two categories, the prizes are QAR 50,000, QAR 30,000 and QAR 20,000. The final results will be announced in May 2027.
