Tehran warns against targeting ships over frozen funds
Iran announced that it will attack ships belonging to countries and companies that benefit from its frozen assets if they pass through the Strait of Hormuz in violation of legal procedures. This came in response to American threats to compensate for the damage caused to ships that were affected during the war imposed on Iran. The Iranian Central Command affirmed that Iranian forces will not allow ships using those frozen assets to pass, considering Washington’s policy aimed at destabilizing the region. This escalation occurs within the ongoing tension between Washington and Tehran, amid American threats to resume military strikes on Iran’s vital facilities.
