The Ouda House organized a cultural evening in Al Atulah Village, in the Al Baha region, to discuss the novel "The Shot That Shook the Village" by author Bakhit Talal Al-Zahrani. The novel, recently published by Taqweem Publishing, is 190 pages long and draws inspiration from the rural environment of southern Saudi Arabia. The discussion focused on themes surrounding plots of guilt, justice, and forgiveness, highlighting the impact of a pivotal moment on the fate of a person in the village. Emphasis was placed on the calm narrative language and the depiction of the setting as a partner in the events, reflecting the social and cultural memory of the Saudi village. The cultural events continue with various activities aimed at fostering creativity and strengthening cultural identity, including a five-day Arabic calligraphy gathering held after the evening.
