Regional Stability and Iran-backed Militias
The article addresses the outbreak of the phenomenon of Iran-backed armed militias in the Middle East and their negative impact on regional security and stability. It explains that these groups have developed advanced military capabilities, including missiles and drones, and use territories as launchpads for attacks on neighboring countries, threatening global sovereignty and economic security—especially through targeting vital infrastructure and maritime passages. The article also emphasizes that the continued existence of these militias hinders the building of strong and stable states, threatens development, and jeopardizes safety sources. It calls for supporting the concept of the state and imposing control over weapons to maintain regional stability and reduce conflicts. It concludes by clarifying that the security future depends on countries' ability to establish strong institutions and sovereignty, as lasting security can only be achieved by a powerful state governed by legitimate institutions.
