Yemeni army halts Houthi plans
The article discusses the ongoing military escalation in Yemen, where government forces have carried out more than 400 targeted operations using drones and artillery against Houthi positions and reinforcements across various frontlines, including Marib, Al-Jawf, Hodeidah, and the Western Coast. These operations have resulted in the destruction of booby-trapped boats and increased readiness levels. Meanwhile, the relentless shelling has led to the displacement of over 100 families, with the number of displaced persons rising repeatedly due to intensified attacks and landmines planting. Human rights reports also document Houthi violations, including religious abuses and the seizure of mosques to turn them into military barracks, resulting in civilian casualties and injuries. The escalation aims to thwart the Houthis' attempts, while the continuation of military operations and clashes reflects the significant humanitarian and security challenges accompanying the ongoing combat activities.
