Al-Jawazat clarifies child's travel with old passport
The General Directorate of Passports confirmed that significant changes in a child's facial features require renewing the passport to ensure the clarity of identification data and facilitate verification during travel. They explained that the passport's validity alone is not sufficient if it becomes difficult to recognize the child from the photo, even if the passport remains valid. Therefore, parents are advised to review their child's photograph and renew the passport before traveling if their child's appearance has changed significantly, in order to avoid issues with travel procedures.
