The Iraqi authorities announced the completion of investigations with over 5,700 ISIS prisoners transferred from Syria in February. These individuals will face trial after the authorities uncovered members of dangerous leadership and operatives involved in international crimes, particularly against the Yazidi community. Currently, preparations are underway to release 457 Syrian nationals who have been proven innocent. Additionally, members of ISIS from various countries have been handed over during the investigations. These measures come after the defeat of the organization in Iraq in 2017, with the support of the international coalition.
