Al-Shabab's Al-Ahli Edge
Al-Shabab president Abdulaziz Al-Malik said the 6–1 win over Al-Ahli in the 12th round was the result of hard work, patience and discipline, and that the team was beginning to regain its form after a difficult start. He attributed the improvement after the break to greater understanding among the players, noting that the late signings had needed time to settle in. He added that it had been hard to predict such a convincing win. Asked about Hummam Al-Hammami’s future, he said the player was currently following a treatment programme before joining the national team, and that it was still too early to decide where he would go next.
