Referee analyst: No penalty for Saudi Arabia
The article features the commentary of Egyptian arbitration expert Rida Al-Baltaji on a play during the Gulf Cup semi-final match between Saudi Arabia and Qatar. He rejected the awarding of a penalty to Saudi Arabia after Abdullah Al-Hamdani's shot, which hit a Qatari defender's hand inside the penalty area. Al-Baltaji affirmed that the incident does not warrant a penalty because there was no intentional handball by the Qatari player, and he believes the referee was correct in not awarding one. The match ended with Saudi Arabia winning on penalties after a goalless draw in regular and extra time, securing their spot in the final against the winner of the UAE vs. Oman match.
