Curaçao team gears up for World Cup with vintage bus
Curaçao's national team is preparing for its historic first participation in the 2026 World Cup, as their players appeared in a video riding an old school bus, indicating their limited resources compared to the major teams. This participation is among the most notable stories of the tournament, as the team is one of the smallest in terms of population and land area. Curaçao is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and all of its players hold Dutch nationality. The Curaçao national team will compete in Group 5, alongside Germany, Ecuador, and Ivory Coast.
