Video clips have been circulated showing a mosque preacher in Saraqib, in Idlib countryside, speaking about being prevented from delivering the Friday sermon after criticizing the high cost of living and the performance of officials. He also accused some of financial corruption and misconduct within institutions, especially in endowment funds. The Idlib Directorate of Endowments responded that they had not issued any decision to prohibit him and that the sermon was delivered without prior coordination. They confirmed that he was summoned to discuss the accusations he made, noting that providing evidence is necessary to substantiate those claims.
