Syrian high school exams after absence
Exams for the General Secondary Education Certificate and the Tawjihi are underway in Syria, marking the return of many students to the classroom after long years of interruption due to war and displacement. Among them are individuals who have resumed their education after prolonged delays, including volunteers in the Public Security forces. These students face significant challenges related to age differences and declining academic levels, yet they continue their efforts to pursue education and bring about change. Officials point out that the reasons for their return include improved security conditions and a desire to build a new Syria, with strong participation this year—around 832,000 students taking the exams.
