Customs authorities at Düsseldorf Airport successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle forbidden food items. They discovered approximately 3.2 kilograms of frogs, geckos, insects, and chopped snakes inside the luggage of a 62-year-old woman arriving from Thailand. Additionally, about 12 kilograms of fruits and vegetables were found with her; however, these were confiscated and destroyed in accordance with German and European laws that prohibit the importation of animal products from outside the European Union.
