Meta has announced testing major changes to the Facebook user experience, switching the main interface from a traditional feed of posts to a full-screen display of short videos. This update aims to meet users' increasing demand for more visual and interactive content. The tests will begin in some international markets, featuring a video player that appears immediately upon opening the app, with potential expansion to the United States next year. These changes are part of Meta's broader strategy to enhance video content, as Reels videos generate nearly $50 billion in annual revenue—surpassing YouTube's earnings. The company also seeks to integrate artificial intelligence tools to support interactive content and strengthen its competitive position in the video and digital advertising markets.
