France student protests persist
France is experiencing ongoing student protests since mid-September, accompanied by tight security measures, violence, and clashes with police. The students are demanding increased resources for their schools. The protests, which are escalating six months before the presidential elections, are widely supported by unions and teachers. There have been acts of vandalism and injuries among the students, including a 16-year-old losing sight in one eye and another teenager having a hand amputated due to police use of tear gas. These protests are the largest since the movement began, with approximately 215 injuries reported so far.
