Kairouan Sustains Breast Cancer Campaign
The breast cancer awareness campaign in Kairouan continues throughout October as part of the "Pink October" program, aimed at encouraging early detection and increasing awareness of the importance of health follow-up. Health services conducted screenings today, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, for more than 40 women aged between 21 and 70 at the Ahmed El Qorwi Health Center. Some women were referred for additional tests, such as ultrasound scans, depending on the results. The program runs year-round and emphasizes the importance of early detection, which facilitates treatment and increases the chances of recovery. Women are also encouraged not to hesitate to get screened if they notice any unusual changes in their breasts, to adopt a healthy lifestyle, and to be supported by active nurses in awareness and guidance efforts.
