Ex-Esperance player escapes jail
The Belgian judiciary has closed the case of former ES Tunis player Mohamed Mouhli after the court decided not to imprison him and instead imposed a period of independent supervision. The prosecution had requested a four-year prison sentence along with financial compensation, citing events from November 2023 during his time at RSC Anderlecht, which involved damaging a warehouse and assaulting a 24-year-old woman with whom he had a prior relationship. Based on his confession to some minor acts, the court decided not to issue a prison sentence, allowing the player to avoid a severe penalty, provided he adheres to the conditions of independent supervision.
