Ex-Club Africain player secures no prison
The Belgian criminal court have acquitted former Espérance Sportive de Tunis player, Mohamed Moughli, of prison sentence after deciding not to incarcerate him and instead imposing an independent monitoring punishment. In September 2026, the prosecution had requested a four-year prison sentence and financial compensation in connection with incidents that occurred in November 2023 related to the destruction of a warehouse and an assault on a girl with whom he had a previous relationship while playing for RFC Liège. Moughli admitted to some minor acts of violence, but denied the more serious charges, leading to the substitution of the prison sentence with independent monitoring, allowing him to avoid jail and remain under judicial supervision.
