Risk Agency releases indoor air quality guide
The National Risk Assessment Agency has released a new guide on indoor air quality in facilities that host children, aiming to identify pollution sources, assess risks, and implement preventive measures. The guide focuses on schools, kindergartens, and child care institutions, including tools for evaluating air quality and adopting good practices to reduce pollution, such as improving ventilation, maintaining heating systems, and avoiding smoking. Experts explain that indoor air pollution can lead to health issues in children, including asthma, allergies, and breathing difficulties, and can also affect pregnant women and their unborn babies. This guide is an important step toward improving the indoor environment in these facilities. It is currently available in French, with plans to translate and distribute it electronically to support efforts to protect children's health from air pollution risks.
