Bundesliga: Cologne secures win as ex-national star faces consequences
Cologne defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach with a score of 2-1 in the fifth round of the Bundesliga, but the injury suffered by former national team player Elyas Saghiri to his knee affected the atmosphere of the match. Saghiri sustained an ankle injury during a tussle and had to leave the field for MRI scans, with reports suggesting he might be out for an extended period based on the medical assessment results. The duration of his absence remains uncertain, as the club's management is awaiting the final scan results to determine his return date to training, with focus on how the injury may impact his future with the team.
