Oil tanker and ship hit in Hormuz
A tanker and a container ship in the Strait of Hormuz were subjected to unidentified projectiles, with investigations still ongoing to determine whether there was any material damage or human casualties. Early October saw the most intense wave of attacks since the beginning of the conflict in the region, targeting six ships in a single day—including four oil tankers and a container ship—leading to heightened tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. Prior to that, reports recorded at least 12 attacks between September 28 and October 5, the highest number since February, amid escalating maritime disturbances in the region.
