Iran faces toughest blockade since Revolution
Iranian President-elect Masoud Bazeshkian affirmed that his country is currently facing the most severe blockade and hardships since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, accusing the United States of attempting to increase living pressures to spark protests within Iran. He stated that Iranians are today experiencing more difficult circumstances than at any time in the past 48 years and considered that Washington is focusing on causing public discontent to achieve malicious goals by inciting social protests. His remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, which began in February with strikes that resulted in the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
