Al Ahli Tripoli advances in African Champions League
Libyan club Al Ahli Tripoli achieved a significant victory with a 4-0 score against Ethiopian team Welwalo in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the Champions League. This puts them just one step away from reaching the group stage for the first time since 2017. The goals were scored by Mohamed Amin Togay, Muayed Al-Lafi, Mohamed Al-Suwaei, and Azou Meryemi. Al Ahli needs to maintain this lead in the return match to secure their qualification.
