Reasons for broadcast cut during Champions League match
The interruption of the live broadcast of the Tunisian Club Africain vs. Mazembe Congo match during the CAF Champions League 2026-2027 caused a crisis. A power failure at Libreville Stadium disrupted the electrical system and the backup generator, leading to the broadcast being halted from the 12th minute. The outage was caused by a malfunction in the power source due to the government's cessation of electricity supply to the stadium. In an attempt to continue viewing, some unofficial channels tried to stream the match via YouTube, which led to objections from "Dewan Sport," the official broadcasting rights holder, resulting in the broadcast being permanently cut off.
