Tunisia Seeks Tender for Beja Sugar Firm
The Tunisian Sugar Company in Beja plans to restructure and improve its performance by launching an international tender to select a consulting firm to develop a plan for organizing the company and enhancing its operations. This includes targeting an annual production of 180,000 tons of sugar. This initiative follows the resumption of the factory’s activity in February 2026 after a maintenance shutdown. The reform aims to strengthen production capacity and improve financial efficiency, with a focus on sustainability of operations and increasing supplies to the local market. The consulting firm will be selected before October 20, 2026, and the proposed plan is expected to play a key role in improving the factory’s performance and supporting the local sugar market.
