Tunisian Hunter's Voyage Ends in Italy
Tunisian and Italian authorities rescued the Tunisian fishing boat that had been stranded at sea since October 17. The captain refused to leave the vessel despite repeated attempts at evacuation due to a technical malfunction. He remained onboard despite rescue efforts and pleas from authorities for help. Rescue units intervened, and technical repairs were carried out without success. Eventually, the five sailors agreed to evacuate, while the captain insisted on staying and refused to accept assistance. Ultimately, the vessel was transported to the Italian port of Cieza by a tug, bringing an end to the several-day incident involving the captain's refusal to evacuate and the risks posed by approaching Maltese waters.
