Al-Kaf Comments on Libya and Tunisian Clubs
The report of the match between Espérance Sportive de Tunis and Al Suwaihel of Libya in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League confirmed that the African Confederation has not received any official complaints from either side, despite the events that followed the match, which was won by the Libyan team with a 1-0 victory in Misrata. The Algerian player Youssef Belaili was sent off by Congolese referee after the match ended, and a decision from the Disciplinary Committee is awaited regarding a possible suspension, which could affect his participation in the second leg. The return match will be held at Hammadi Agreibi Stadium in Rades on October 24th, where Espérance needs to win by two goals to qualify directly, while Al Suwaihel only needs a draw to secure advancement.
