Tunisian Barber Fled Germany for France and Faces Court
A 40-year-old Tunisian man has been sentenced by a Dresden German court to one year in prison along with deportation. His case involved events related to a dispute over a beer bottle, which led to him being assaulted with a bottle. Toxicology tests also revealed traces of drugs in his bloodstream. The man initially started his life in France, working as a barber, but left Germany after an eviction order was issued against him. He then attempted to return across the border to work again, believing he could regularize his legal status. However, German authorities detained him at the Kiel border crossing last July, and issued a prison sentence along with a deportation order. This has led to a renewed cycle of his life between two countries and the possible end of his legal stay in Germany.
