Hezbollah Chief Claims MOU Marks US and Israel Defeat
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah considered the memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington to represent a official defeat for the Americans and Israelis. He emphasized that Israel has no option but to completely withdraw from Lebanon and cease all forms of aggression. He noted that Iran has withstood and achieved this feat in the face of Israeli aggression, which failed to accomplish its expansionist goals. He called on Israel to depart unconditionally. He also urged the Lebanese government to strengthen its unity and to leverage the understandings between Washington and Tehran to support Lebanese sovereignty, reaffirming his rejection of any normalization agreements with Israel and the continued resistance against threats.
