Russian soldier warns Putin during live threat
The Kremlin said it is investigating a widely circulated video in which a former Russian soldier calls upon President Vladimir Putin, accusing Russian military leaders in Ukraine of torturing and killing soldiers who refused to carry out "suicidal orders." The clip, which was posted on Instagram and viewed more than 12 million times within 24 hours, highlights that thousands of soldiers are held in pits because they refuse orders or to hand over money, and that they are subjected to torture before being killed, with leaders covering up these acts. The Kremlin spokesperson declined to comment on the video, saying only that he had not seen it yet, but considered that it contained strange phrases.
