Trump on Iran's Strait attack
U.S. President Donald Trump described the Iranian attack on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz as a "reckless violation" of the ceasefire agreement with Tehran. Iranian forces launched four attack drones at the vessel, hitting one directly, while the United States shot down three others. Despite the damage, the ship was able to continue its journey. Trump did not specify how the United States would respond. This is the first incident of its kind since the signing of a memorandum of understanding to open the strait and to increase negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program.
