Revolutionary Guard on Hamas Disarmament
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed that disarming Hamas will not succeed and has already failed, in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of an agreement that calls for disarming Hamas and armed groups in Gaza. Iran stated that attempts to disarm Hamas have failed from the outset, while Trump considered this agreement a significant step toward achieving peace and security in the region. The plan aims to establish a new Palestinian government in Gaza that cooperates with the Peace Council. Despite mediators' efforts and American assurances, doubts remain about Hamas's commitment to implementing the agreement, especially after their announcement of dissolving their government in Gaza and their failure to mention disarmament in their statement.
