The article discusses the crisis of mass migrant flow into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, where approximately 60,000 people exploited the border loophole within a few hours, prompting a mobilization of European authorities. The discussion highlights the European Union's call to strengthen Frontex's powers in border protection and to implement stricter measures, including reintroducing temporary controls on internal borders. The events raise questions about the reasons behind this sudden surge, including Spain’s judicial decision not to return migrants at sea and the possibility of Morocco shifting its stance to support diplomatic pressure. The upcoming emergency meeting is seen as an opportunity to review European migration policies amid criticism of Spain's approach and expectations of adopting more stringent measures to address similar irregular flows in the future.
